Volta Region to host 66th Independence Day Celebration

The Volta Region has been chosen to host this year’s National Independence Day celebration which will come on on, March 6, 2023.

The 66th Independence Day Celebration according to the information revealed by Government officials indicates that the ceremony will come on at the 5,000-capacity Ho Youth Resource Centre (located at Adaklu Tsrefe).

This was announced by the Director of Operations at the Office of the President, Mr Lord Commey has says that President Nana Addo-Dankwa Akufo-Addo has chosen the Volta Region as the host of the national Independence Day Celebration.

Mr Commey made this known when he called on the Asogli Traditional Council  led by the Ho Municipal Chief Executive, Mr Divine Bosson and other stakeholders in the Region.

“The President has sent us to inform you of his decision to honour the people of Volta by getting the Region to host the 66th anniversary of Ghana’s independence. The Independence square alone cannot continue to host this key celebration of Ghana’s freedom. He has decided this year that it is the turn of the Volta Region – the oxygen city of Ghana.” The Volta Regional minister stated.
